adidas Hockey: NHL All-Star Game
Role: Project Manager
Project Category: Experiential design + execution
Agency: Latitude
Overview: adidas tasked us with creating a sustainable, immersive activation showcasing their partnership with Parley for the Oceans at the 2019 NHL All Star Game in San Jose, CA, where they debuted the first jersey made of repurposed material.
To avoid large amounts of waste often created with events/installations, the assignment was to make the experience environmentally responsible, from the materials used to where they went afterwards.
The installation created an infinity effect and offered guests a quiet space where they could watch a video with Parley for the Oceans and adidas footage. In addition to video imagery, the installation featured a photo opp mural curated from all NHL team jerseys. Brand ambassadors encouraged guests to make their own pledge; which was then published onto Parley for the Oceans social platforms. We also outfitted the VIP hospitality suite where athletes receive their adidas/Parley gifts.
After the event, all materials were repurposed by local producers, in partnership with Global Green, to create future structures for local school productions.
